Application invited for the post of Executive Director for the France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCIFB) which was formed in 1997 by French Companies present in Bangladesh and Bangladeshi companies doing business with France with support from the French Embassy in Dhaka. The CCIFB is a non-profit and self-financed organization. The main objective of the Chamber is to facilitate, support and develop trade and investment between France and Bangladesh by offering services to achieve its goal.

Job Description:

The Director will be responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the Bilateral Chamber, formulating sectoral reports and making recommendations based upon the findings and organizing trade promotional events.

Job Qualifications:

• Advanced Degree in one of the following disciplines: Business Management, International Relations, Public Administration, Economics
• At least 5 years of experience with a proven track record in Business analysis
• Experience in dealing with a wide spectrum of corporate planning and developmental co-operation both in regional and international environment
• Experience in managing a broad range of activities in international relations, dealing with various international/supranational organizations and other related institutions
• Hard worker, strong initiative and autonomy, result-oriented and constructive mind, interpersonal skills
• Strong time-management skills and problem solving skills
• Excellent and clear written and verbal communication skills with multiple and diverse audience groups
• Strong computer and Internet skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite that include, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
• Good command over English language. French notion would be an important plus

Roles & Responsibilities of the Director
Overall Responsibility: Manage B2B initiative; support Business France’s activities in Bangladesh; and to support and promote initiatives with focus on trade & investments.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

Spearhead sector studies and research on market opportunities for French enterprises, supervise data reports.
Planning and implementing matchmaking events in Bangladesh and France, correspond with enterprises for business support and matchmaking

• Support and coordinate Business France’s (national agency of France) activities in Bangladesh
• Consultancies to individual enterprises and support in setting up new businesses in Bangladesh
• Self-reliant set-up and execution of annual work plans in the field of trade support
• Establish and maintain good working and cooperation relationship with Bangladeshi chambers of commerce and industry as well as business membership organizations
• Support trade related inquiries; provide information to individual member companies.
• Providing support to inbound delegations from France in Bangladesh
• Develop concepts for membership branding, benefits and events
• Implement and execute guidelines for improvement of membership structure

Chargé international development – Trainee

The ideal candidate must be able to:
• Assist in doing market research
• Be able to meet companies for queries
• Write briefs on different topics
• The candidate should be comfortable with research (internet, books, different places, meetings)
• Find new French companies to expand the Chamber activities

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (business school or major in import / export, international commerce)
• Good knowledge of both English and French languages (written and spoken)
• Good written and communication skills

Friday and Saturday + Government holiday: off
