CCIFB Annual General Meeting (AGM No. 28) Concludes Successfully
The 28th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of France Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFB) was held on Thursday, 25th June, 2026, at 11:30 AM at the Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan (the Beast). The event provided a platform for CCIFB members to come together to reflect on the Chamber’s accomplishments over the past year and to discuss its strategic goals for the future. The meeting featured an in-depth review of the Chamber’s activities and financial performance over the past year. Attendees were also briefed on the strategic objectives for the upcoming year, with a focus on expanding bilateral trade, fostering innovation, and supporting the growth of French businesses in Bangladesh.
The Board Transition Ceremony also took place immediately after the AGM.
Dr. Md. Ershad Hussain Rana, Chairman & CEO of Dawn Group has been elected as President of the France Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFB) for a two-year term.
M. A. Reaz, Director (Business Development) of Expo Holdings (BD) Ltd. and Md. Jahangir Alam Sharker, Managing Director & CEO of 3i Logistics (Pvt.) Ltd. were elected as Vice Presidents of the Chamber. The CCIFB also elected Farzana Chowdhury of Abista FS Ltd. as its Treasurer for the same tenure.
The other elected Board of Directors are Syed Sadat Ahmed, Managing Director of ABN Group, Dató K. M. Rifatuzzaman, Managing Director of Akhtar Group, Badria Anis, Director Marketing of Bangladesh Exports Ltd., Ahmed Saifuddin Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Bangladesh General Insurance Company Ltd., Arif Rahman, Managing Director of Bengal Airlift Ltd., Brig. Gen. Sharif Aziz, Psc (Retd.), Managing Director of Elite Security Services Ltd., Md. Asadul Islam, Managing Director of Fariha Knit Tex Ltd., S.M. Rahman, Managing Director of Novo Cargo Services Ltd., Mohammad Rashed, CEO of Pacific Design & Sourcing, S.A. Bahadur, President & CEO of Radiant Corporation, Salimul Haque Essa, Managing Director of Tasho Enterprises Ltd., Mahmodul Islam Parvez, Managing Director of Uni-Global Business Ltd., Sana Sattar, Executive Director of Utah Knitting & Dyeing Ltd.
In his closing speech, the departing President Mr. Md. Muin Uddin Mazumder, expressed sincere thanks to all members for their continuous support and commitment and welcomed the New Board for the term 2026-2028.
The AGM marked a pivotal moment in the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to foster a thriving business environment and solidify its role as a key player in bilateral relations.
